Experiencing eski
We live in a world where a hopeful job candidate is expected to have experience and enthusiasm. eskimosoup are no strangers to providing work placements. Yes, it is rewarding and valuable for the individual on the placement though equally, we appreciate that they can teach us a thing or two by return!
As a group of people, the eski team have a mixture of experiences, a real melting pot of ‘past work’, and most of us still don’t know what we want to do when we grow up yet! So, we fully understand the benefits for someone to experience working in a variety of environments so they can rationally make decisions about what paths they’d like to take through education and their work life.
Recently we’ve had the pleasure of offering a desk to two young people, Tash and Ryan. Both have different approaches for why they took up the opportunity to work with us, and equally we offered them experiences during their time with us that would fulfil their expectations and beyond.
Tash, still contemplating what she’s interested in doing in life next, found the experience exciting! She told us, “I always looked forward to coming in” and, “even though I’m still not fully sure what my next step is, I know that working here has been exciting and definitely something I would love to do in the future.” Tash found her experience with very beneficial as a window into the marketing industry. Ryan agreed, seeing his experience as +1 point towards working in the industry.
For us, it was heart-warming to hear both candidates comment on the team in general, calling us welcoming and friendly. Ryan goes on to say, “It’s been a pleasure to be around a team with such enthusiasm and positive attitudes towards their job as it ensures everyone is working well with each other and doing the best they can to perform.” And that’s without a gun to his back (haha)!
Thank you Ryan and Tash for all your hard work and best of luck with your amazing future!
