Live Safe
How do we keep safety messages relevant in a rapidly changing world?
Live Safe was developed by the Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland Violence Reduction Unit as a central source of information, advice and support on issues affecting community safety. Covering topics including online safety, knife crime, healthy relationships, substance use and exploitation, the platform aims to help young people, parents, carers and professionals access trusted guidance and support.
Eski was commissioned to undertake a comprehensive review of the Live Safe website and its content, assessing how effectively it met the needs of its audiences and identifying opportunities to strengthen engagement, accessibility and educational impact.
Through this process, we identified practical recommendations to improve structure, navigation, accessibility, visual communication and content relevance. Attention was given to ensuring information reflected the real experiences, language and challenges faced by young people in the region, while remaining useful for parents, carers and professionals supporting them.

Educational Resource Packages
Working closely with the Violence Reduction Unit team, Eski researched, wrote and developed a suite of new educational resources to address emerging and priority issues.
This included interactive classroom lessons and supporting materials covering:
- online safety,
- criminal exploitation and gangs,
- substance use and knife crime.
The resources were designed for use with Key Stage 3 and 4 learners, combining evidence-based information with discussion activities, scenario-based learning and practical strategies to build knowledge, critical thinking and resilience.

Interactive One-Page Learning Resources
Alongside the full lesson packages, we created interactive one-page learning resources designed for use during tutor time, form periods and other short educational sessions. These included quizzes, reflection exercises, discussion prompts and scenario-based activities, enabling schools and youth settings to engage with important safety topics in flexible and accessible ways.
All materials were piloted and tested by the client in real educational and youth work environments. Feedback from practitioners and young people was used to refine content, improve usability and strengthen learning outcomes before final production. This collaborative approach helped ensure the finished resources were both educationally robust and practical to deliver.
The new resources are being rolled out through schools and youth services from September 2026, providing practitioners with engaging tools to support conversations about safety, wellbeing and violence prevention across the region.
PAUSE: Pause, Assess, Understand, Stay True, Extra Help
To address the constant assault from disinformation, designed to provoke emotion and drive engagement we created a short animation and accompanying message for young people, introducing a simple tool: Pause. Designed to help you step back, think critically, and remain objective.
