HPV Explained

Following on from the successful ‘Vaping Demystified’ campaign, Yorkshire Cancer Research asked Eski to produce a campaign to help them reduce the stigma around HPV, raise awareness of the facts and allow people in Yorkshire and beyond to make an informed decision around cervical screening.

We worked closely with the client to learn from quantitative insights from a Yorkshire-specific survey as well as gathering opinions, knowledge and attitudes through filmed interviews with health professionals, researchers and a cross section of Yorkshire people.

Following testing with the target audience, the ‘HPV Explained’ campaign was developed with a distinctive look and feel, which was comprised of a short documentary style film, shorted social media clips, an animation and supporting social media graphics.

What did
it achieve?

The campaign was launched on HPV Awareness Day, gaining coverage on regional television and radio stations, and positive feedback on the film. This was supported with digital advertising, targeting specific communities in Yorkshire.

A month on from launching, the HPV Explained film already has over 10,000 views on YouTube, helping to spread the facts, opening conversations and tackling the taboo of speaking about HPV.
