Low Ale Trail

As part of Public Health Hull’s initiative to encourage alcohol reduction in the city, Eski developed The Low Ale Trail; a map of 15 bars in Hull offering alcohol-free or low alcohol options.

Created following consultation with bar owners, managers and customers, the Low Ale Trail initiative sought to raise awareness of alternative options available for drinkers whilst supporting the bar industry’s weeknight social scene.

What did
it achieve?

Many participants saw an increase in sales of low-alcohol and alcohol-free drinks across the three months, crediting increased awareness of the options amongst customers.

Social media polls suggested that 62.5% of Twitter followers and 75% of Instagram followers had changed their drinking behaviour as a result of knowing more about the Low Ale Trail or low alcohol drinks.
