Congratulations to South East Smokefree Alliance (SESA) on being shortlisted for the NHS Communications Initiative of the Year Award at the prestigious HSJ Awards for a campaign partnership with Eski.
Anyone on the trade will know that the Health Service Journal (HSJ) Awards are among the most coveted accolades in UK healthcare. Organisers say more than 1,300 entries were submitted for this year’s awards so it’s a great achievement that Stop Smoking, Feel Happier stood out as a success story, earning a prized place on the panel’s shortlist.
We will presenting along with SESA Lead Dr Sarah Milne to the Health Service Journal judges panel in October as we share the impressive campaign outcomes and express what sets this initiative apart from other work in this area. The great thing about this campaign is that whilst it has already helped thousands of people take action on smoking, the message around the mental health benefits of stopping is becoming embedded in so much more activity across 18 local authorities. It is so much more than a traditional campaign!
The official awards ceremony will be held on 19 November 2026 as the profession celebrates the best of the best.
