Youth Connect, a new Youth Voice Mapping project developed by Eski with and for the Humber Violence Prevention Partnership, is now live.
Eski was commissioned to work with more than 40 organisations to understand how youth voice is currently gathered, shared and used. Alongside this, young people shared their experiences and perspectives on the support available to them, helping to build a richer understanding of the issues, concerns and aspirations affecting communities across the Humber.
The findings highlighted the significant amount of valuable youth engagement taking place across the region, while also identifying opportunities to make this insight easier to access, share and use.
In response, Eski worked alongside Humber VPP and local partners to develop Youth Connect, an online resource bringing together youth voice evidence from across the Humber into one accessible location.
The platform includes a database and interactive map of youth voice activity, a repository of youth voice activities, and a tool that enables professionals to explore engagement findings, identify recurring themes and access evidence from a wide range of youth voice activity. By bringing existing knowledge together, Youth Connect strengthens the visibility and influence of young people’s experiences within decision-making processes.
Developed through collaboration with local organisations, practitioners and young people themselves, the platform reflects a shared commitment to ensuring youth voice continues to shape services, strategies and interventions across the region.
Launched on International Youth Day, Youth Connect represents an important step towards making youth voice more visible, accessible and influential across the Humber.
